Dow Announces Methyl Cellulose Capacity Increase
Expansion Underscores the Company’s Commitment to the Industry
HORGEN, Switzerland – May 30, 2016 – Dow Construction Chemicals (DCC), a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW), has announced an expansion in production capacity for methyl cellulose at its Bomlitz production facility in Germany. The expansion is expected to meet increasing demand for cellulosic technology in the construction industry. This specific investment, coupled with investments at the Dow Bitterfeld, Germany site and other improvement projects, is expected to enable as much as 5,000 MT additional annual capacity of WALOCELTM Cellulose Ether to come on-stream by the end of 2017.
